Seasonal Transitions and Grief: A Gathering For All Grievers

Seasonal Transitions and Grief: A Gathering For All Grievers Spring has arrived! For many of us freshly bloomed flowers, warmer weather, and more social gatherings instill a feeling of excitement and possibility. However, for those who have lost a loved one, this transition can feel counter to the internal experience of anger and despair that so often accompany the grief journey. The exuberance of spring contradicts our feelings of fatigue, hopelessness, and despair. This contradiction can increase our sense of loneliness and our desire to isolate ourselves from others. This workshop is intended to support grievers in connecting to the healing potential of seasonal transitions. Participants will have the opportunity to consider how their grief is transitioning to spring, and to consider ways that the shift of season can provide comfort and a renewed sense of hope. The workshop welcomes participants at all stages of the grief journey and encourages you to come exactly as you are. You can expect opportunities to sit back and reflect, as well as time to share about both your relationship to spring, and your grief journey, with fellow participants.
