Description: Individuals experiencing grief and mourning are often faced with the challenge of navigating their grief journey while at work. This workshop will explore the various manifestations of grief in the workplace and provide strategies for coping within one’s professional environment. Additionally, we will provide insightful tips for both employers and employees on creating a supportive, grief-informed workspace.

About our Presenter: Rashida Sanchez, MA, LMSW, FT is the Outreach & Engagement Manager and a group facilitator at COPE. She is a licensed Social Worker and certified Fellow of Thanatology through the Association of Death Education and Counseling. Rashida is passionate about viewing grief from a social justice perspective. Her research incorporates the experiences of children and adolescents, immigrant populations, and faith communities. She recognizes the importance of creating a supportive environment that allows grievers to feel validated and accepted.
