MOVING WITH GRIEF

with Lyd Marie and Katie Hutchinson

Grief comes in many forms; while primarily thought of as a result of loss of life, it can also be caused by be changes in relationships, transitions, and other forms of loss..Moving With Grief combines the power of song and movement. to provide tools and inspiration for one’s ongoing grief journey. Whether you’re holding personal grief or the immense collective grief of our current world, this is an opportunity to process and heal in community.

Music and movement will be integrated to guide participants through a transformative and interactive experience. Lyd Marie’s gentle and contemplative songs will encourage participants to look inwards and connect with their own story. Katie Hutchinison will invite attendees to move intuitively with the music, offering skills to release grief and trauma through somatic movement. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace and will be invited to share their personal story in small groups through movement or a short songwriting exercise.

The goal of this workshop is to experience a sense of connection and community through our shared experience of grief and ultimately find comfort in our creativity and bodies, uncovering the joy that exists on the other side.
