Healing Tip – April 2020

Telehealth…Give it a try.

In the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic and the necessity to practice social distancing, COPE is taking advantage of all that technology has to to offer. You should have already received several emails requesting to e-sign a Telehealth consent form. We are hoping that you were able to sign it and send it back. If not, there is still time.

To “flatten the curve,” COPE has moved all support groups to secure teleconferencing. This is the first step in keeping our families connected in a confidential and private setting. While this type of group may be foreign to many, it is a really great opportunity to support your fellow group members not only in their grief, but to also maintain some sense of connectedness and normalcy. Even if you are hesitant to try Telehealth, please give it a try – just once. If you absolutely hate it you don’t have to do it again! Not only does Telehealth allow you to be anywhere when you’re participating in group, you can also be in your pj’s and no one would know!
