“Awaken Your Senses” by Christine Cherpak

Dear Fellow Grieving Siblings,

Amid the bounty of spring, I have found simplicity, littleness, and hope. If we search deep enough within our souls and protect ourselves from the whirlwind of day-to-day occurrences (including electronics and social media), we are graced with a treasure: simplicity. Our harvests produce different fruits and peak at different times, but the golden path to simplicity leads to peace. I caution you that simple does not mean easy, but every courageous move toward it is beyond measure.

Simplicity may be applied to all situations in your life. Mother’s Day is one such occurrence (and I would be remiss not to mention my warmest regards to all mothers). If you, like me, are at a loss for words to offer your mother this Mother’s day, embark on the path of simplicity and the appropriate action(s) will follow.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions and/or comments. And do not hesitate to let me know if I can be of any assistance. Also, consider submitting your own work of art as a feature for one of our monthly pieces. Establishing a memorial foundation in honor of your loved one is also a work of creation. If you would like your organization to be highlighted be sure to provide us with the details!

AD LUCEM,

Christine

MEDITATION:

Reappraise the potential of simplicity by revisiting a childhood literary masterpiece.

“There’s no limit to how complicated things can get on account of one thing always leading to another.”
