On March 26, 2017, our beloved, Joshua Quinn Faithfull had his life tragically cut short at 16 years old, after receiving a late diagnosis of a very rare & incurable malignancy of the central nervous system. Despite his excruciating pain, Joshua remained a true inspiration to others.
Even in the midst of his own intense suffering, Josh assured us all that he would always be with us; he expressed how grateful he was to have lived such “a great life” & thanked us, all for loving him so much. Whenever I would tell Josh that I didn’t know what I did to deserve such an amazing son, best friend & soulmate, Josh would say that was because I was looking at him through “Josh-colored glasses,” (which I interpreted to mean that he thought I felt this way just because I’m his mom).
Never in my life have I encountered such a gracious, unconditionally loving, funny, wise & kind individual as Josh. It was said about my son that “if you didn’t love Josh, it was just because you hadn’t met him yet…”
Truer words were never spoken.
