Creating Healing Mandalas to Cope with Grief and Loss

Creating Healing Mandalas to Cope with Grief and Loss

Date

Dec 19 2023
Expired!

Time

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Facilitator: Deborah Adler, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT

Mandala-making is a common Art Therapy method used for insight, healing, and self-expression. This circle form is a balanced, centered design that helps you feel calm, relaxed, and focused; and is another way to practice mindfulness. Circles often symbolize our connectedness with all people, including our lost loved ones.

Licensed Art Psychotherapist, Deborah Adler, will lead you into creating your own mandala allowing you to explore your feelings whether they reflect grief, sadness, inspiration, or hope. Be open to get creative, allow your mind to explore and enjoy the process while you design your art piece with colors, images, and words that inspire you to reflect on your loved one. There will be dedicated time following the art experience to share mandalas and process any feelings and emotions that come up for you. No artistic skill or experience is required.
